How far? The Stretch Seasons by R Meadow – April 20, 2026
Stretch Seasons
In the middle of stretch seasons, life tugs from all directions. Learning to pull back and wonder in the middle of a stretch is not easy. How far does it go? Is it mine to walk? Moving forward can be a necessary sidestep to clear unknown obstacles from the previous path.
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”(King James Version, Jeremiah 33:3).

Hope Explored
To see Him in the day-to-day can be clouded by everything around us and a desire to serve. Many paths need to be explored before being ready to see answers in my current view. Hope is found in sticking to the roots instead of the leaves waving in the breeze.
“Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.” (Proverbs 13:12).

Deep in the Roots
It is hard to hear God’s whispers when there is noise and silence during stretch seasons. Others always have another view, but He deals in the heart. Bending with the wind is a way to prepare my heart to see and find Him in the tree roots already planted.
“ Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-9)

"Hope is found in sticking to the roots." Amen to that, Rosie! As we sink our roots deep into God's love (Ephesaisn 3:16-19), meditating on all the blessings he bestows, we do find our hope renewed.
Beautiful reflections! I love these verses!! 😊
