February Icy Paths
R Meadow Garden - February 2026
February Icy Paths
February started with blizzard conditions and maintained a cold front throughout the month. Snow, high wind, freezing rain, and ice seemed to be in a continual come and come again pattern. Any days with sun were in contrast to the actual temperatures. The month seemed to bring a coldness across the board. With the last day bringing warmer temps and sunshine, there is hope it continues as we start the upward climb towards Spring.
The life garden was full of dropping and picking up seeds while letting God handle how and where they fell. We all have strong opinions (whether we share them or not) that go through the packing test. A few seeds were sent packing that didn’t need to be planted in my life garden. It happens sometimes with a simple moving on when it isn’t mine to grow or uproot. Thank you to those who take differing opinions for what they are worth. A grain of salt and a teaspoon of grace - grace given is grace received.
Thanks for joining me on this life garden journey! ~ Rosie

Month to do List - February 2026
This section brings nothing new, but a look at the obvious and not
February seemed to be a quick month with lots of reading, and still more to be read. Stuck in cold gear, days were spent in a cycle of prepare, endure, and recover to do it all over again. Thankful for baking therapy time. Nothing quite like cooking and baking for immediate comfort.
Practical side of February - Weather, weather, and weather. Leftovers from January goal setting, trying to stay warm, and dreams of Spring.
February’s quick internet to-do list was kind of funny; so not impressed:
Romantic and Cozy Activities
Centered around Valentine’s Day, Watch movies and Game nights (don’t think Monopoly has ever been called either of those)
Self-care - Epsom salt bath and Daily gratitude journal (on their own, okay, but something about these two don’t quite go together)
Food and Drink
Hearty cooking (okay), Seasonal Treats - strawberries (seasonal in February - not here!), World Nutella Day (Feb 5) - (who knew there was such a thing), warm drinks - coffee (when was coffee labeled a “warm drink”)
Home and Hobby
Winter crafts, Declutter space, Family projects - puzzles, nature walks, make bird feeders (never considered puzzles or nature walks as projects)
Events and Experiences
Groundhog Day, Winter Activities - hiking, skiing, hunting for Northern Lights (we go hunting for them now?)
Cultural Events - Mardi Gras, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day weekend (cultural - not celebrations or holidays?)
Library (February was Library Lover’s Month (was this an event or an experience, I’m losing track here)
Health and Wellness
Heart Health (American Heart Month - Exercise and nutrition, and Nature walks - (okay, those make sense)

Well that was fun.
I do have a question though - if I only wanted a pound of sugar how do I come us with 51/2c? 😂
