Why Easter 2026 by R Meadow – April 5, 2026
We’ve remembered the betrayal and death. We celebrated today the reason for Easter, Jesus’ greatest sacrifice to give us eternal life.
Easter Highlights
I hope you enjoyed the Easter-focused highlights. It was kept to blog posts as there were more than I could include. Breaking it up seemed like a better way than a longer post – let me know in the comments if there is a preference. In doing the highlights, there was a risk of posting too much or not enough.
Why Easter
Although this year will not have a post on every holiday, Easter is one that deserves its own.
“And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.” (Mark 16:6). King James Version. Public Domain. Bible Gateway, www.biblegateway.com/. Accessed 5 Apr. 2026.
Easter is celebrated by many as noted in the links below. Christians celebrate it because of Jesus’ sacrifice. It is not often, if ever, that leaders have taken the time to openly talk about our Lord and Saviour as the reason for Easter.
