R Meadow Substack Highlights - Coming this week
Writers are readers first. R Meadow Substack Highlights
R Meadow Highlights
As a reader, there is nothing like finding a new favorite writer. In September, I happened to come across one because of a “like” left on a blog post. That “like” brought visibility to a writer I might never have seen otherwise. R Meadow Highlights was launched.
Writers are readers first. We may relate to specific words or topics, but judge content by whether it lives up to what caught the eye. R Meadow Highlights was launched to highlight word seed treasures worth exploring and a second read. Each highlight here grabbed attention and then resonated in some way.
R Meadow Substack Highlights
I appreciate the different ways on Substack that folks shine light on fellow writers through referrals, recommendations, recommendation blurbs, notes, and restacks. It is easy to pull direct quotes from posts or notes to share things that resonate.
Since I already have a rhythm that works for me, I will soon begin posts with a modified version of R Meadow Highlights for Substack writers.
Posts titled R Meadow Substack Highlights will highlight different Substack writers whose content lived up to the words that caught the eye. The kick-off R Meadow Substack Highlights #1 post will be emailed later this week!
I hope you will enjoy reading the highlights to find new favorite writers!

Years ago, while volunteering in my grand kids grade school, I did a program with one class a year. We published a book. I began by explaining to them about what an author is - first and foremost a reader. I had a saying, 'not all readers become writers but without exception, all writers are readers'. Those kids were so amazed on the day of the reveal - the book they did as a team. One of my best memories. Hope it launched a new generation of reader/writers.
