R Meadow Substack Highlights #7 - Highlighting Chris Craft
Writers are readers first. R Meadow Substack Highlights
Writers are readers first. We may relate to specific words or topics, but judge content by whether it lives up to what caught the eye. R Meadow Highlights was launched to highlight word seed treasures worth exploring and a second read. Each highlight here grabbed attention and then resonated in some way. I hope you find new favorites to follow, like, or subscribe to through these highlights!
R Meadow Substack Highlights #7 - Highlighting Chris Craft
This week’s highlighted Substack writer is Chris Craft at Crafting Wisdom. Chis shares bits of wisdom and encouragement in her journey from job loss back to her love of writing.
Chris recently updated her email on her Substack and is working hard to work through the downstream impacts of that change. If you don’t know already, when there is an issue, you don’t just pick up the phone and ask for help. I will leave it at this - Substack is an interesting platform. Hats off to Chris as she works through this challenge, and still manages to support and encourage her subscribers!
From her profile:
“I began writing after a heartbreaking job loss. I’m here to give you hope--the hope to start over again and the courage to place everything in God’s hands and then see His hand in everything. The best is yet to come!
Grab a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and take a moment to read Substack writer Chris Craft at Crafting Wisdom. Through comments, chat, Newsletters, replies, and restacks, Chris welcomes Substack newcomers into her community.
“Still, life goes on, and last Saturday, I harnessed my senses long enough to sit down and pay the electric bill.”
“Crushed in spirit, I pleaded with Jesus to help me understand what in the world He was doing.”
“It is this little bird’s instinct to sing through the winter’s frost as heartily as she sings every morning of spring.”
“Some days I am tested and imitating Christ is a battle.
My light shines about as brightly as the sun on an overcast day.
How do I season my words with salt when I’m being peppered with never-ending to-do lists, needy people and constant demands on my time?
I look to the Savior.”
